Apprenticeship

Apprenticeship is a structured training system that combines on-the-job training with accompanying theoretical study. Unlike general vocational students, an apprentice is typically considered an employee with a formal contract, allowing them to “earn while they learn.” They work alongside experienced practitioners or “masters” who mentor them in specific skills, passing down trade secrets and industry norms.

The program follows a defined training plan, often lasting several years, ensuring the apprentice is exposed to the full range of tasks required for the occupation. Upon successful completion, the apprentice undergoes a formal assessment to receive a nationally recognized qualification, certifying them as a skilled worker ready for independent practice.
